The brand Superga was born in 1913 when Walter Martiny started the production of rubber soled footwear marked with the Superga logo.
In 1925 production also included footwear with vulcanised rubber soles. After the war, Superga restarted production again and specialized solely in the production of footwear. From 1975, during the crisis of the Italian market, Superga diversified the production to include sport items and in 1981 officially debuted as a sportswear manufacturer. SUPERGA is widely known in Europe as the Peoples Shoe of Italy.
