Cro 'Jack

One of Kiosk 78’s authentically British brands, Cro’ Jack is the product of Dean Batty and Daljit Mehat. Dean is an avid sailor, hence the brand’s name which refers to a piece of sailing equipment known as the crossjack that enabled British sailors to become the fastest in the world back in the sixteenth century. Correspondingly, one can expect some nautical features in their jackets, although Dean insists ‘Fabric, fit and value’ are their main concern, not imitation. Design for the brand is handled by Dean and Lisa Batty who was previously the senior designer at Belstaff, another prestigious British outerwear brand. Daljit’s experience of the textile industry spans across the globe and as a result he has an extensive sourcing network. That said, Daljit sources the majority of Cro’ Jack’s fabrics from the U.K and is conscious for the manufacturing to always take place at one of the last remaining factories in England, in the West Midlands.
